Design processes of fire suppression system
The design of HFC-227ea system must follow the following procedures.
Determine the hazardous substance and the required concentration.
Determine the volume of every cabinet and take out all the impermeable volume in the right place.
Determine the risk altitude and correction coefficient.
Calculate the amount of HFC-227ea of every protected area at lowest design temperature.
Design the container size and filling density.
Choose the type and the position of nozzles.
Design the network of pipes.
Calculate the amount of HFC-227ea of every nozzle.
Check the agent percentage at every flow bypass part.
Identify the length, rising and declining of all pipes, identify the nozzle reference numbers.
The calculation of prefabrication system flow
The MOSAFE prefabrication system is based on the special pressure flow program-MOSAFE flow protection calculation software. The software will forecast the two-phase flows of HFC-227ea and N2 during they go through the network of pipes. Input the detail informations and seal box height, then the program can calculate the required dimension of pipes and nozzles, average nozzle pressure and jetting time. The calculation result finally corresponds with the practical situation.
The system design calculation is critical to the success of fire suppression system. So only the people passed the MOSAFE training can implement the system calculation. In the future, if other company hope to use the program, then the dealers will need to take part in the formal training courses. That is to say, all the system calculation must be internally operated by MOSAFE or authorised suppliers.
